Hurricane Milton was a category 3 tropical storm that hit around Tampa Bay and the west coast of Florida Wednesday night October 9 2024. The place that was in the eye of the storm was the city of Sarasota. The eye of the storm has the hardest rain out of the whole storm. The storm did massive damage where it hit. Hurricane Milton came right after hurricane Helene which was a category 4. Hurricane Milton did more damage than hurricane Helene. 11 people died because of Milton. Most people chose to evacuate before Milton hit. Most of the people don’t have power. The Tampa Bay Rays stadium roof got destroyed by Milton. Some people say their going to move away from Florida after the hurricanes they had.
