Did you know that Filipino American History month was established on October 1988. Is celebrated in October, the same date in which Filipinos first arrived in the United States of America as enslaved people in what is now Morro Bay, California on October 18, 1587. In 2009, the U.S congress officially recognized October as Filipino American History month.
Some ways you can celebrate are eating Filipino food like Lumpia, Adobo with rice, and desserts like Sapin Sapin and Suman.
