This season for girls’ soccer, they haven’t lost yet! So that means they are undefeated. Recently, they’ve had semifinals against Tops and won 5-1! That game qualified them for the finals which are against Salmon Bay, our rivals. Salmon Bay is the team they always play for finals, and whenever they play them, it’s always a good game, whether a loss or a win.
I interviewed Hanna Maly about how she believes the team is going all together, and here are some of the things she said. Hanna believes that the team is doing really good. She says that everyone has a good relationship with one another, and everyone gets along. She likes it because there are 6th graders hanging out with 8th graders and 7th graders, and everyone knows each other well and are close.
I strongly believe that there needs to be a strong bond with teammates in order to have a good team, and look at that, there is. So, it sounds to me that our Blaine girls’ soccer team is a great team with a strong bond.
Thanks to Mr. Self and Alec, it sounds like practice is something to look forward to. The players make the games they play during practice sounds like lots of fun, I wish I played soccer! One thing that Hanna loves especially is when practices are held indoors due to weather, but they don’t let the weather stop their fun.
Sounds like overall, this season for the girls was a great one, no matter how they do in the finals. Which you should go to! Come support our Blaine girls at 11:30! Find more details from players, or Mr Self.
